Annual & Sustainability Report 2019

With a royal commission, a challenging economic climate and increasingly negative media, the last 18 months have not been easy for the banking sector. The need to communicate clearly and effectively in such an environment becomes even more critical.

The challenge

In a sensitive and challenging landscape, how do companies communicate in a manner that resonates with target audiences and retains authenticity? On a project that is the focus of several internal teams, meeting and exceeding the expectations of stakeholders within tight timeframes must be balanced with ensuring a consistent tone and design application across documents.

The solution

A range of creative solutions varying in tone and focus were explored, to ensure the selected concept was best placed to reach the communication objectives. At design application, care was taken to ensure that key content was presented graphically for immediate understanding by the target audience.

Partnering with stakeholder teams over several years ensured that clear communication and clarity of roles and expectations were well understood. Regular full team work-in-progress meetings were held to review tasks completed and establish tasks moving forward. The ability of Designate to resource up or down as needed ensured that key dates and milestones were always met.
